Description

Beef stroganoff with ground beef is a classic comfort dish that combines tender beef, earthy mushrooms, and creamy sauce over a bed of egg noodles. Perfect for family dinners or cozy gatherings, this easy-to-make recipe delivers rich flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 oz egg noodles

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping the onion and garlic and slicing the mushrooms.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté onions until translucent. Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
  3. Increase heat slightly and add ground beef; brown until no pink remains (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. Stir in minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce; cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in beef broth and scrape any browned bits from the skillet; bring to a simmer.
  6. Lower heat and mix in sour cream until well combined; adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Cook egg noodles per package instructions until al dente. Drain and serve topped with the beef stroganoff sauce.
