Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound high-quality halal ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-style)
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (jarred or homemade)
  • 4 sub rolls
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a skillet over medium heat, warm the marinara sauce and gently add the baked meatballs. Simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
