- 3–4 ripe bananas
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth but slightly chunky.
- Stir in melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gently fold in flour, baking soda, and salt until just mixed; do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and gently shake to level it out.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
