Description

Cinnamon rolls are the ultimate comfort food, combining soft, pillowy dough with a sweet, cinnamon-spiced filling and finished off with a drizzle of creamy icing. This easy homemade cinnamon rolls recipe is perfect for any occasion—be it a cozy weekend breakfast or a delightful dessert to impress your guests.

Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Active Dry Yeast
  • Salt
  • Milk
  • Butter
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes). Add melted butter, salt, and gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl to rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Make the filling by combining softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly over it. Roll tightly and cut into equal pieces.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place rolls in a greased dish and let rise again for 30 minutes before baking for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar mixed with milk.
