- 4 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cooked rice, milk, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir gently until mixed well.
- Increase the heat slightly until the mixture starts bubbling softly around the edges. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Once simmering, reduce heat to low and allow it to cook for about 15-20 minutes until thickened.
- If using raisins, stir them in during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before serving warm or chilled.
