Instructions

  1. Simmer apple cider in a saucepan over medium heat until reduced by half.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar.
  3. Create a well in the dry mixture and add reduced cider, beaten eggs, and melted butter. Stir gently until combined.
  4. Roll out the dough to about half an inch thick and cut with donut cutters.
  5. Fry in heated oil at 375°F until golden brown on both sides (1-2 minutes per side).
  6. Coat warm donuts in cinnamon sugar mixture before serving.
