Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar until dissolved. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In another bowl, mix flour with salt. Stir melted butter into the yeast mixture, then add to the flour.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Prepare filling by mixing sugar and cinnamon. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter over it, and sprinkle with the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
- Evenly distribute blueberries on top, roll tightly from one edge into a log, and slice into pieces (1-2 inches thick). Place in a greased baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and let rolls rise again for about 30 minutes. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar with vanilla extract to make glaze; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
