Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup whole milk (warm)
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup fresh or dried cranberries (chopped)
- Zest of 1 orange
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and yeast. Warm milk to about 110°F and add along with melted butter. Stir until sticky dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, orange zest, and cranberries.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle (½ inch thick), spread softened butter on top, and sprinkle the filling evenly.
- Roll tightly from one long edge into a log shape. Cut into about 12 equal pieces and place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 350°F; let rolls rise for another 30 minutes while the oven heats. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- For frosting, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over slightly cooled rolls before serving.
