  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 4 ounces dark chocolate bars

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Add warm milk and mix until a shaggy dough forms; knead until smooth.
  2. Roll chilled butter between parchment paper into a rectangle. Place on the center of the dough rectangle.
  3. Fold the dough over the butter like a book cover and gently roll it out into a long rectangle.
  4. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes; repeat rolling and folding two more times for flakiness.
  5. Cut the final dough into triangles, place chocolate at the wide end, and roll tightly towards the tip.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake croissants on parchment-lined sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
