Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 28 oz canned whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 12 oz dried spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until just combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear meatballs until browned on all sides (about 5 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning; stir while scraping up browned bits.
  5. Gently place the meatballs back in the sauce. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, boil salted water in another pot; cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente (9-11 minutes).
  7. Serve spaghetti topped with meatballs and sauce.
