Description

Savor the perfect blend of spice and creaminess with this Roasted Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese—a comforting, indulgent sandwich that’s irresistible!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 fresh jalapeños
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Halve the jalapeños and remove seeds for milder flavor. Place cut side up on a baking sheet and roast for about 15 minutes until softened.
  2. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar. Optionally, mix in garlic powder or cumin for additional flavor.
  3. Spread the cheesy mixture on one side of each slice of sourdough. Top one slice with roasted jalapeños, then close the sandwich.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Melt butter and grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese melts.
  5. Cut in half and serve hot, either plain or with your favorite dipping sauce.
