  • 34 lbs chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix (1 oz)
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix (1 oz)
  • 6 pepperoncini peppers (whole)
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients on the counter.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chuck roast on both sides for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Place the seared roast in the crockpot. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over it.
  4. Pour beef broth around the roast, then add pepperoncini peppers on top.
  5. Place butter on top of the roast, cover, and set crockpot to low. Cook for 8 hours.
  6. Shred the meat with two forks in the pot before serving.
