  • 2 lbs Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp butter (for greasing)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Thinly slice the potatoes to about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and half of the cheese until combined.
  5. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish; pour half of the cream mixture on top. Repeat with remaining potatoes and sauce.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
