With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious batch that boasts a satisfying crunch and customizable flavor. Serve them fresh with your favorite dips or enjoy them solo—either way, they’re sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 corn tortillas (about 200g)
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (480ml) for frying
  • 1 tsp sea salt (5g)
  • Optional: 1 tsp chili powder (2g) or garlic powder (2g) for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cut each corn tortilla into quarters to form triangles.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  3. Carefully add tortilla triangles to the hot oil in batches; do not overcrowd.
  4. Fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  5. Remove chips with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. While still hot, sprinkle with sea salt or your desired seasoning.
  7. Serve with dips like guacamole or salsa.
