  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8 hot dogs (beef, turkey, or plant-based)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and eggs; stir until smooth.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Skewer each hot dog with a wooden stick halfway through.
  4. Dip each skewer into the batter until fully coated, allowing excess to drip off.
  5. Carefully place coated corn dogs in the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
