  • 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 cups whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil salted water in a large pot.
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and lay flat on parchment paper.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through. Drain excess fat and stir in marinara sauce; simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, eggs, half of the Parmesan, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce at the bottom. Layer noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before slicing.
