- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Stir occasionally to ensure even browning.
- Add marinara sauce to the skillet with the beef and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti followed by half of the meat sauce and half of the cheese mixture. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining mozzarella cheese and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
