- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth

- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). In a large Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear beef short ribs until browned on all sides (about 3 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add diced onions and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant and golden brown (approximately 5 minutes).
- Deglaze the pot with red wine, scraping up any browned bits. Simmer for about 3 minutes until reduced by half.
- Return short ribs to the pot, adding beef broth, thyme, rosemary, and brown sugar. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Cover the Dutch oven and braise in the preheated oven for about 2.5 hours or until ribs are fork-tender.
- Let rest briefly before serving with sauce spooned over each rib.
