Description

Garlic butter sauce for pasta is a quick and delightful dish that transforms ordinary spaghetti into an extraordinary meal. In just 20 minutes, you can twirl your fork around perfectly cooked pasta coated in silky garlic-infused butter, topped with fresh parsley and Parmesan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces spaghetti or linguine
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 45 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Reserved pasta water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti or linguine and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
  2. While the pasta cooks, melt the unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Once melted, add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes—avoid burning.
  4. Drain the pasta, reserving some cooking water. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce and toss well, adding reserved water if necessary for creaminess.
  5. Off the heat, stir in chopped parsley and grated Parmesan until evenly coated.
  6. Serve immediately with extra herbs and cheese as desired.
