  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp Korean gochujang paste
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 8 store-bought bao buns
  • 1 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Add chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from heat.
  3. Steam bao buns according to package instructions until warm and fluffy (approximately 10 minutes).
  4. Slice each bun open, fill with chicken pieces, add cucumber slices, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  5. Serve with extra gochujang sauce for dipping.
