- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 oz canned whole peeled tomatoes
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and reserve some pasta water.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden (1-2 minutes).
- Crush canned tomatoes by hand or with a fork and add them to the pan. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
