  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 6 oz sushi-grade tuna
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 small cucumber
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 nori sheets
  • 2 green onions

Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until clear, then cook with 1 cup of water according to package instructions.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over high heat and sear the tuna steaks for about 30 seconds on each side. Allow to cool slightly before slicing thinly.
  3. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise and sriracha; adjust spice to taste.
  4. Slice avocado and cucumber thinly.
  5. Assemble by placing sushi rice at the bottom of each bowl, topping with sliced tuna, avocado, and cucumber slices.
  6. Drizzle with spicy mayo and sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top.
