- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 sub rolls (hoagie style)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to avoid overmixing.
- Roll mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, warm marinara sauce. Add baked meatballs and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Slice sub rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through; lightly toast in the oven for about 5 minutes.
